When the Angels Walk

When the angels walk
we are rendered mortal,
we are reminded of the
endings, all the paths
converging of the paths.

When the angels walk
we are rendered happy,
and we are granted for
one moment in time
infinity everlasting.

When the angels walk
there are stars on earth
and not the ones on the
movie screen.

When the angels walk
we give them names
like brother, sister, mother
father, aunt, uncle.

When the angels walk
we hear their voices
and they speak to something
deeper than emotions.

When the angels walk
we learn something
infallible, something
so true there is no denial.

"Snow
The angels wept their tears of glassy water
and they feel at the feet of men. And the men
watched as the tears grew in piles whiter then any
of heavens lights. And they shivered in the presence
of the tears and they gave it a name, 50 names.
And from hill to river the earth shuddered and grew cold
and then the men grew cold and crass. Fires were
sparse and not a flower grew. The angels cried out
in deep moans of night winds and screamed in the
hiss of the day light. Soon the men did shudder as well
and locked them selves in cages of wood and built in them
hearths and the buildings vibrated with warmth.
The men forgot the tears of angels and turned away from
the gifts of heaven, and instead prescribed it to words
and forgot the call of angels and prescribed it to the sun.
But the angels cry still, and they wait, for just one day that
a child may see that the crystallized landscape is heaven crying
because we forgot."

I Want to See

I want to see
the sun gallop
across the sky
day after day

I want to see
true equality
among all people
and no preference
by law or otherwise

And I want to see
someone stand
on the mountaintop
and then fall
in love

I want to see
a man knock
on a door and
receive a warm
hug

And I crave to see
the world enter
back into the womb
of humanity and be
born again

I want to see
a world that
forgives its debtors
and its sinners
and its criminals
but not set them free

I need to see a world
where we can dare
to ask ourselves who
we are and what we
truly know

And I want to see
a world of wonder
that never stops
asking itself
Why… Why…

And I want to see
a world free of
its bonds to hate
and to violence

I need to see a world
where we enjoy the
little things and in
them can find an
everlasting love

I want to see
a home for all the
children of Adam
not just the ones
you believe deserve
salvation

I crave to see
a time when
black, white and red
are just crayola colors
and have new fancy names
like celestial black or
snowflake white or
rose red

I need to see
a world that loves
so much that it is
willing to forget
all hate

But the reason i want
the reason I crave
the reason I need
is because for to long
we have ignored it
we have ignored that
we are the only ones
who can change a single
act of kindness into the
plural acts of love that
we are meant for

No more crocodile tears
in a jar next to the bed
no more apologies needed

I want to see
my hand in yours
and us walking
the long walk
to the edge of life
to create
the world that
I want to see

The Specture

We speak in silence
in gardens with roses.
Latices grabbing vines
and letting the pallor
of moonlight fog cascade
a bleak green grass.
The courtiers sit on benches
of birch wood. Silently
they mime their desires.
One holding their neck
and looking at the sky.
Another holds their wrist.

We all are in silence.
We all are under a spell.
The specter who holds
our souls and our lips shut
is standing and looking at us.
The most beautiful being ever.
Golden light cascades outwards
from its eyes and purity radiates.
As it stands in delight we find
ourselves unable to reach
out for it, for help.

Dawn brakes over the court
and they are frozen.
They are lost to their sadness
and to the beautiful specter.
If you were to help, then reach
to them and wrap your arms
around them and chisel
them from their seats
and let them breath
the air of the brand
new day.

Ode to The House of the Rising Sun

There is a house in my memory
It’s called a holy name.
It has been the straying of many
A poor soul.
My name was lost in words.

It once meant something.
My love was purer then water.
Until I went to the holy house.
The men would tell the men
To act more like me.

Go to that house with
The holy name and see if you
Can find me.
You will have one foot in your
Sin and one foot in your faith.

I am taking back the place
Of the holy name to wear my
Crown again.

Hangman’s Knot

Just let the smoke settle
and look at your prize
a man on a rope
that’s your desire.

Once he had joy
and a place to call home
and once he had
love and love all his own.

Just let the rope bind
and crook the mans neck
like strings of shells
chiming on the old mans deck.

Once he had family
he held them so close
nothing would harm them
until his past reaped them.

Just let the floor fall
and your prize is your’s
but at what price?

Once Asked

Once asked what I
regret most in life,
I said nothing while
my heart knew the
converse truth.

Once asked what is
love, I said no words
could capture it, as
my brain scrambled
to find the words to
tell you I love you.

Once asked what
was wrong and why
the tears caressed
my mind, I said nothing
with the best false
smile i could conjure.

Once asked what lied
beyond death and I
said I had no clue,
as my soul looked
past the veil and into
the purest love ever.

Once asked why,
I said because and
in that simple word
I lost what I meant.

You see when you
let go of the truth
its like pretending to
be invisible.

And a truth is to beautiful
to try and hide, and
the truth I know is that
life is full of regret and
pain and unknowing
but it is also full of love
and beauty and is worth
living no matter what.

Hate

Hate has all types of forms
but all of them are Ignorance.
No matter who, the hater
is full of Ignorance.
Unwilling to learn and only
willing to prove their side
right and not caring who gets
hurt along the way. Ignorance.
God or not, the fundamental
human being is the same, and
if you persecute one of the other
you are simply breading it. Ignorance.
White or black or yellow or any
color, if you hold one higher then the
other and treat another man as lesser
you are simply full of Ignorance.
If what a man or woman loves
makes you hate them, makes you loath
them with so much depth. Ignorance.

And I have grown tired of the ways
of this. All of the persecution of men
and women. I am tired of the words
full of this poison that you breed.
You ask whats wrong with the world
that an Atheist or Christian may be
ripped apart by one another, well the
problem is YOU and YOUR Ignorance.
It was never because of God, or Love
or Biology, it was simply your pathetic
unwillingness to listen, to learn.
And I have grown tired, I have grown
sorrowful, I have grown into an old man with
stone colored eyes all at the cost of
your Ignorance.

Arioch

It is know that a demon resides
within these bones
one that is far beyond terrifying.
It writhes to push the sins of men,
it wishes for release into the world
of light with this body as a catalyst.
As of today, it has cut through its
fleshy barrier. There will be no more
mercy, no more forgiveness and no more
patience. A delicate balance was broken
by ignorance and for it they shall pay.
It ushers in the end, end of it all.
The sad part is that the ignorant one
will never see it coming, never see
the beast roar across the earth as
the sun rises. With light will come
the worst pain known to man.
Duality and levelheadedness is over,
I have let the guardian die and
the angelic beast fly into the world of men.
Expect no mercy, no forgiveness, just
utter destruction with so many bodies
to cry over.

Do You Remember

Those nights in which pacts were made
never to let go, never to let me fall into
an abyss so deep that it would consume
all life and hope. Those days in which
you held my hand so tight that I thought
that God would be jealous of our love.

Or how about the words said in earnest.
The modest compliments that blossomed
into an eternal joy. The sweet nothings
whispered in my sleep to you. The many
long nights of sweet nothings exchanged.

How about when you changed.
Getting your way only.
Walking away from mistakes
and turning your back from sorrow.
Becoming so arrogant nothing could
touch you.
Closing your eyes and ears.
Closing your mind to reason.
Talking to only those of like minds.

I remember those days.
I remember fear.
I remember love.
I wish i didn’t have to.

Lonely Shadows

Lost in the oblivion of light
and joy. Its like a sick poison
that slowly eats away at your
soul. It makes your tears turn
to dusk and your eyes into dawn
and somewhere in between is night.
In that fractured space is where
your heart lives. It beats and makes
the moon and stars flash in a beautiful
shadow.

Desire follows the soul. The singularity
in two beings that flows between
the dawn and dusk. When the moon
shatters and the stars burn out, nothing
is left but the lonely shadow of your
formal self.

Sunlight

If everything falls to peices its all
okay, cause the sunlight is finally
breaking through. I will take the
shattered bones that keep me down
and I will make my own future.
No more floating down the
river set before me, I will push
against the current because the
sunlight is finally cracking through
and I can see. I begin to notice all
the things that I never noticed and
hear the voices that never spoke
before. Finally the sister of the moon
holds me up and lifts me from the land
of all the shades of blue and into my
next path. This time I am letting the
sunlight in.

Falling

Stepping to the edge
and unfolding the wings
and the feathers into
the soft solar breeze
of a million suns.
Caressing each
inch of flesh, as eyes
stair into the bright abyss.
Its alien and so
familiar like the feel
of golden grass brushing
a pair of bear legs.
Stepping forward and breathing
in the astral realm.
The brilliant clouds of carmine and
amber flow in like an ocean
embracing the shallow recesses
of coastal stones.
Embracing the emptiness ahead,
beginning to plummet to the depths
of the endlessness. Regressing
to the place of all birth, becoming
part of the particles that birthed.
Feeling the solar sting as it rives
the body. Waning out of our dreams
and back to our immortal love

Wishes

I just wish I could
Shut down
Shut in
forget all the pain
and sadness and
walk on, walk into
a bright shiny future
but the truth of it is
that all I want is to
live and not be judged
not be put into a corner.
I just want to be able to
breath, to not be sad or
alone, but that’s not in my
deck of cards, I don’t get
to choose my life and
for a lot of people that is
hard to understand, that
someone so strong could
just be controlled, but its
true. Some of us aren’t as
perfect as we look, we
are flawed and cracked
and misshapen, we
have one thing though.
We have love.

Fitzgerald

The world is suddenly empty,
grey and blank, even the snow has
no color. The flavor of food has
gone and what was it worth a few
hundred dollars. All it cost was
a few cold coins and then I got
rid of all of the burdens of life.
I get rid of the feeling, of love,
of hate, of joy. Even the grass
has no feeling on my skin nor
the breeze. The sky drops rain
no longer but only coins, but
what is it all worth, what is all the
blankness worth? Why choose the
emptiness? It only cost a few hundred
dollars. That’s all it was worth, I guess
I should have bought your love instead.
